Germany’s Battery Infrastructure Investment Strengthens Regional Development

GIGA Storage’s €260 million financing package will support a 350 MW battery storage facility near Neuenkirchen in Lower Saxony. The project is expected to enter construction in early 2027 and become operational in 2029, creating a significant infrastructure development pipeline in the region. The project may generate demand for site development, civil engineering, electrical works, land services and specialist construction contractors.
